Two Rivers Press publishes around 10 new books each year, with a focus on books with a local interest (Reading and the surrounding area), art and nature, botanical art, original poetry, poetry in translation, and illustrated poetry classics. We also have an online gallery, RiversSide, for publishing individual poems, prose and pictures.
Book submissions
Because we are a very small press we can only take on a few new projects each year, but we are always pleased to consider book proposals which fit in with our areas of publishing (do take a look at our complete catalogue for an overview of the kind of books we publish). You should send a brief outline of the proposed project, and some sample material if available. Please note that we often work two to three years in advance, and our forward poetry schedule is particularly jam packed. We are not currently open for poetry book submissions (although we encourage submissions of individual poems for RiversSide from poets in the Reading area).
RiversSide
We are keen to include short articles or essays on non-fiction topics with a local flavour on our online RiversSide gallery. We’re interested in work between 500 and 2000 words on topics including art, industry, sport, urban nature, psychogeography, lesser-known buildings and spaces, unsung cultural heroes, our two rivers… if it’s interesting to the people of Reading, we would like to read it!
If you have an idea for a book or an article or poem for submission to RiversSide please email anne@tworiverspress.com with a few details.
