Adam Sowan:. An explorer at heart, Adam jumped at the offer of early retirement from the Civil Service and has since spent his time exploring the history and topography of his adopted town, Reading (UK). He has published four books on Reading with Two Rivers Press and has other projects in the pipeline. Keenly interested in architecture and classical music, he is editor of Reading Civic Society’s magazine, was involved in the Berkshire Pevsner revision project, and is a campaigner for better public transport.
